Cool in summer, warm in winter, and drier all year round. The perfect solution for park caravans, lodges and park homes across Northamptonshire.
Park caravans and lodges present a unique set of climate challenges that a wall mounted air conditioning unit solves all at once. In summer they overheat quickly due to their compact size and thin walls. In winter they can be expensive to heat and prone to condensation. Throughout the year, moisture build-up leads to mould, mildew and musty air.
A single wall mounted Bosch unit handles all of these problems. It cools efficiently in summer, heats in winter as a heat pump, and constantly dehumidifies the air — reducing moisture, preventing mould, and keeping the air fresher year-round.
We install across park caravan sites, holiday parks, and private lodge developments throughout Northamptonshire. All systems come with a 5-year guarantee on parts and labour and 0% VAT on installation.
A caravan or lodge isn't like a brick house. The climate challenges are more extreme — and AC addresses every one of them.
Caravans and lodges heat up rapidly in warm weather. Thin walls, large glazed areas, and poor insulation compared to brick buildings mean interior temperatures can reach 30°C+ on a warm British summer day — genuinely uncomfortable and potentially unsafe for elderly residents.
Moisture is the enemy of caravans. Condensation builds up on cold surfaces, leading to mould on walls, ceilings and soft furnishings. AC units actively remove moisture from the air in dehumidifier mode — addressing the root cause rather than just treating symptoms.
Many caravan and lodge owners rely on electric panel heaters in winter — one of the most expensive forms of heating per unit of warmth. An air-to-air heat pump produces 3–4 units of heat for each unit of electricity, cutting the heating cost significantly.
Caravans and lodges on parks surrounded by grass and trees can have high pollen counts in spring and summer. AC filters the air as it circulates — particularly helpful for allergy sufferers, and a genuine improvement to overall air freshness.
Our Bosch wall mounted units run at around 20dB on low — quieter than ambient background noise. No impact on neighbours, no noise restrictions to worry about, and quiet enough to run through the night in the bedroom.
An installed, warranted AC system makes your caravan or lodge more comfortable to live in and more attractive if you ever come to sell or let it. It's an investment that pays back both in quality of life and in the asset's appeal.
One of the most compelling arguments for caravan AC isn't cooling at all — it's heating. If you currently heat your lodge or caravan with electric panel heaters or storage heaters, switching to an air-to-air heat pump can save an average of £244 per year on heating costs alone.
That's because electric resistance heating converts 1 unit of electricity into 1 unit of heat. A heat pump, by contrast, moves heat from outside rather than generating it — producing 3 to 4 units of warmth for every 1 unit of electricity used. On a caravan-sized space, this makes a significant difference to the winter electricity bill.
The A+++ rated Bosch units we install are among the most efficient available. Over a 12-year lifespan with annual servicing, the system will typically pay for itself many times over in energy savings — particularly if your lodge is used year-round rather than just in summer.

For lodges and park homes where ceiling height or wall space above head height is limited, a low wall or floor-mounted unit is the alternative. Equally efficient — just positioned differently. Our surveyor will advise which suits your layout.
For larger park homes or lodges with multiple rooms — a living room, bedroom and kitchen all needing climate control — a multi-split system runs multiple indoor heads from a single outdoor unit, keeping the exterior appearance clean.
What about the outdoor unit on a park?
Most caravan and lodge parks allow owners to install AC systems — the outdoor unit is compact and can be positioned discreetly alongside the caravan. We recommend confirming with your park operator before booking a survey, as some parks have specific rules about positioning. If you're unsure, ask us — we've worked on many sites and can advise.
Caravan and lodge spaces are compact — which means every element of the unit's performance matters more than in a larger room. Bosch wall mounted units are A+++ energy rated, whisper quiet at ~20dB, and particularly effective at dehumidification — one of the most valuable functions in a caravan environment. The 5-year guarantee covering parts and labour means that if anything goes wrong, we return and fix it at no cost. We'd install Bosch in our own caravan, and that's exactly what we recommend to customers.
Before booking, confirm your park allows AC installations (most do). We're happy to advise on what to ask your park operator — and what a typical outdoor unit positioning looks like.
We visit your caravan or lodge, measure the space, assess wall suitability for mounting, plan the outdoor unit position, and give you a fixed-price quote on the day.
Most caravan installs complete in a morning. We drill a small core hole for the pipework, mount the indoor unit neatly, position the outdoor unit, and fully test the system before leaving.
Controls explained, system demonstrated on all modes (cool, heat, dehumidify), and your 5-year Bosch guarantee issued. Annual servicing available to keep the warranty valid.
